Historical Overview: Traces the origin of the Dalmatian can be found in paintings and church chronicles from the 16th to 18th century. GENERAL APPEARANCE: Mezotsefal (index between the head 50 and 54; Index head = head width x 100 / length of head). The head is shaped prism with hanging ears. The body is rather rectangular, tight, muscular, with distinct spots. Movements should be elegant. The difference between the sexes must be visible.
IMPORTANT PROPORTIONS: Length of body : height at withers = 10 : 9. Elbow length: 50% the height at the withers. Length to hock: 20-25% the height at the withers. Length of head: about 40% the height at the withers. Length of the skull : length of muzzle = 1 : 1.
BEHAVIOUR AND CHARACTER: Pleasant temperament, friendly, not shy or hesitant, devoid of nervousness or aggression. Alive, loyal, independent and easy to train. Dalmatian loves the water and walking outdoors. There are pronounced instinct Beagle.
CHAPTER: The head should be proportionate and in harmony with the rest of the body, not too broad in skull. The ratio of the length of the nuchal crest to stop and from stop to tip of nose is 1 : 1 or muzzle is slightly shorter. CRANIAL:

Eyes: Oval, a front sub-set at an angle 10-15 °. The color of the eyes corresponding to the color of the spots. Eyelids tightly cover the eyeball and not allocated. The edges of the eyelids are fully pigmented, corresponding to the color of the coat.
Ears: Placed high enough, worn close to the side of the head. Length reaches the inner corner of the eye or to stop. Their end is slightly rounded. The ears have the shape of an isosceles triangle. They are fine in texture and soft to the touch. It is very important to have the ear marks, ie. should not be completely black or brown, but must be black or brown spots, etc.. in accordance with color variations of the white background.
NECK: The neck should be strong and long enough, tapering to the head and without loose skin.
BODY: Rectangular, the ratio of body length to height at withers 10 : 9.
Withers: Pronounced.
Back: Strong, equal.
Loin: Short and muscular.
Groats: Muscular, with a slope of less than 30 °.
Chest: Deep and bulky, not too wide or tubby. The depth of the chest must be 45-50% the height at the withers. The height of the elbow 50% the height at the withers. Ribs well arched.
Underline and belly: Belly moderately tucked, but not carved.

LIMBS
FRONT:
General appearance: The forelegs should be proportional to the rectangular body.

HAIR
Hair: Short, glamorous, thick and the whole body.
Color: Basic color pure white. Black dotted with black spots, brown dotted with brown spots. Stains should be symmetrically located throughout the body, crisp and without mixing with the basic white color. The spots should be equal in size, diameter is about 2-3 cm. In dotted brown spots are a bit smaller - about 2 cm. The spots on the head and legs are proportionally smaller, than the rest of the body. It is desirable that the tail is also stains, such spots are also proportionally smaller, than those on the body. Spray on the body are not desirable and should be punished. Stains should not be merged, ie to form large dark areas. Shaded areas and colored sections are not desirable. Spots on the ears should be particularly noticeable.
SIZE AND WEIGHT:
Height at withers: Male: 56 – 62 cm. Female: 54 – 60 cm.
Dogs with excellent type and balance should not be punished, if they exceed the upper limit.
Faults:
Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness, which is punishable, must be proportionate to the extent and the effect on the health and welfare of the dog, as well as its ability to perform its traditional work.
ELIMINATING VICES:
– Aggressive or too timid behavior.
– Any dog, showing physical or behavioral deficits, shall be disqualified.
